Not all TL-15 rated safes are created equal and according to the Hollon Safe company these safes almost past the TL-30 rated test. During the test UL only made it 52% of the way through the safes exterior before the test time ended. That makes this one of the top TL-15 rated safes in the industry! The design and ingredients is what makes the difference. Another way to think about this is to compare cars. A Yugo from the 1980’s is still considered a street legal car in the USA. A Mercedes Benz made this year is also a street legal car available in the USA. So both are designed to be legal and to drive around town. But I think we can all agree a Yugo is not a Mercedes Benz.
